I have listed lots of my daily artworks on my Etsy store. I will also be adding more new works every week, so be sure to check back regularly. Prices are set to be affordable and range from $20-35. If there is anything on Instagram @thebookofkels not listed that you are interested in email me on kelsosullivan@gmail.com Also if you really like a piece feel free to get in early and comment on my pic to secure it before it is listed to the general public.
I feel so lucky to live by the sea. I am continuously inspired by the ocean, the sun rising over it and the light reflecting on it. It is having a large impact on my new body of work. Reflection of light and balance of shapes are key themes to my finished pieces as well as my sketches on Instagram @thebookofkels. So I thought I would just show you some of the scenery that I am blessed to see every day and and is fuelling my creativity.
I have recently had the pleasure of creating a submission for the Strike Away Show, a matchbook art show. Curated works will be exhibited in San Francisco, CA. Wish me luck! Here is a look at my process in creating the work. It was challenging but very enjoyable to create something on such a small scale.
I will be adding some limited edition cards & card sets to the site soon! These are all printed to the same fine art gallery quality standard as the artwork prints (Giclee) on 310gsm German Etching Paper. All cards feature prints of original designs by Kelly O'Sullivan © If you would like to go onthe list to be notified when they are available please email kelsosullivan@gmail.com
The internet is full of amazing inspirational resources, giving access to work that I can only ever dream of seeing IRL. I have been blown away by the rich resource that is the moma online collection. Thousands of artworks from across their collection and they are all at my fingertips. A never ending resource of inspiration! I would recommend checking it out!! Here's a few of my favourites from today's eye-candy session. Click on the links below to go to the direct page on moma.org . Have fun! [PS. I am also pinning inspiration regularly on Pinterest]

Hello! My name is Kelly, most people call me Kels. This blog is a journal for me to record my ideas, inspirations, aspirations and failings; to write about what inspires me, challenges me, the process involved in my work, successes, failings, the awesomeness of art and design. Sharing a part of myself. Putting it all out there to not be precious and share generously.
On Jan 1 this year I embarked on a yearlong art journaling project on Instagram @thebookofkels. It is simply a 30 minute sketch every day. The idea is to make time every single day to do something, anything, in my sketchbook and post it. The posting makes me accountable, it makes me not want to miss a day no matter what. It gives me a virtual creative community. It teaches me that it is okay to show work that isn't finished or perfect... and it's loads of fun!! This simple act of sharing has given me so much confidence in what I do and allowed me to connect with other like-minded people.
I hope you will join me on my journey.
